Ok, lots of pictures coming up...
Yay for Uncle Caleb and Uncle Christian taking almost all the kids on a walk while the rest of us worked on the food!
Out to "the ponds"
Uncle Caleb showed the kids how to explode the cattails!
Ransom liked doing it, but didn't appreciate the fluff in his face. :)
I don't have drama in my family...right...
Little boy, big world
Berea has adopted Judah as her best friend. Judah says ok, but "I'm in charge!" :)
Sillies
Peter graduated to the big table this year! Andy might need to be demoted next year...
Friday, Christian got to do a Grand Canyon tour for some friends, and I got to go with!
This is "Duck on a rock". That's really its name- can you see it? Looks like a rubber ducky.
This is Plateau Point- if you zoom waaaaay in, you can see specks that are either people or mules- can't really tell. :) I think it's like 5 trail miles away.
Fossils! I still just love that there are sea fossils on the rim of the Grand Canyon. This one (shell) above is in a closed position, meaning they were alive when they were fossilized! Sounds pretty catastrophic to me!
These little white round ones are part of a crinoid stem- a sea creature that looks like a flower. They are found all over the US and are sometimes called indian beads.
