Working on it

I haven't been terribly inspired with the camera lately, but the last couple of weeks have been fairly busy. I'm over the strep throat and my neck is mostly better from injuring it while stretching in bed (go figure) and no one else has gotten sick yet! The older 3 kids have finished their swimming lessons and learned SOOOO much more with the YMCA lessons than they ever did through the city. The kids have all finished their library summer reading programs and I just need to remember to take the twins' cards in so they can get their free books! We lost a chicken. Or rather, we found a pile of feathers in the backyard and assume a hawk got it. So we've shored up the fence around their yard better so they can't go wandering. Hopefully that'll prevent further losses! I started the 30 Day Shred again (I always lose motivation any time I get sick) and need to catch up with Laura now. :) Laura had her b-day party here last night and we had company for lunch today and a baby shower after that, and I'm ready to stay home and try to get into some sort of a routine again! Then Mom and Dad are flying in on Saturday and I'm SOOOOOO excited to see them again, and enjoy watching them catch up with all the grand kids (my dad hasn't met half of his grand kids now!). So that's all of my catch-up ramblings...I'll get around to the camera again someday hopefully. :)

Skin decorations

Peter wanted to dress up like a clown the other day, so I pulled out a face-painting kit that we picked up on clearance a couple years ago for 20 cents and had fun with the kids faces!

"The clown look"- I'll get over the fact that almost his entire outfit consists of my old clothes/shoes. And fits him and he's only 9. Good grief.
Anne was calling herself "Daisy-cheek Maisy", from a book she read called "Daisy-head Maisy" about a girl who had a flower growing out of her head

That's supposed to be Mike Wazowski, but I only had blue...

The twinsies like to decorate their skin with Sharpies.
My tonsils are currently decorated in red with lots of white spots, but I won't show you a picture of that. In fact, I think I'll go lie down and work up the energy to make the kids do their chores... :)
