Growing Up

Sorry for slacking the last couple of weeks- they've been kind of "survival" weeks, with sick kids and hubby, etc. BUT the twins have been sleeping regularly through the night the last couple of weeks, ever since I put the humidifier in their room. A couple days ago I caught Tirzah about an inch away from getting her foot over the top of her pack n' play, so we decided to try them with crib mattresses on the floor last night. Eventually Christian will make Anne a loft bed and we'll set up a couple toddler beds underneath, but this works in the meantime. At the end of the pictures, I'll include some things the kids have been saying...

Since Daddy's been teaching a class on Proverbs in our adult Sunday school class, the kids have been going through some of them with him at home. Peter has written out a couple and posted them on the wall- on his own! Now if it were only so easy to apply them... :)

Christian's started the garden already- these trays are after he's already transplanted a lot seedlings out into his "tunnel" outside.

The girls are really good escape artists when it comes to the high chair, so we've gotten down our old booster seat that C made for Peter as a toddler. This seat spawned Tirzah saying "Mine" for the first time.

The new set-up for the girls' room. Ransom's over to play this morning, so they were having fun jumping off the various beds, etc.

And playing with the blinds is always fun...

 Kisses!

 And "hugs"!

Apparently Ransom doesn't always pucker! Hahaha!
And the pack n' plays are waiting to see how the twins do without them at nap time...!

Things the kids are saying:

Anne, on "dudes":
-Dudes are bald.
-Dudes are never bad guys.

Kids, conspiring in whispers:
A- Should we sneak up on Mama?
(whisper, whisper)
P- If we want a REAL challenge, we could sneak up on eachOTHER!

Peter- Why don't we call a mustache a "mouth brow"?
-Do fish ever get thirsty?

Elijah- I don't want to play with any baby with a big, fat head! (talking about a doll)
-Don't eat with your mouth full!

Tirzah-
Nana (banana), ball, Daddy, Mama (but she still calls me Daddy), Elijah, Anne, poo-poo, yuck, bup (cup), Hi! (or Hiya!), Bye!, Whee!, Mimi (Marmie)

Berea- (mostly the same as Tirzah-a few words less), but she calls a book either "buh" or "boot".

  1. Kids are so so funny. What will I do without them? I am not that funny on my own!
