Together Again!

We made a mad-dash trip this weekend to Phoenix to get together with old friends. It was up in the air whether we'd even make it until Friday morning, since the kids had had low-grade fevers for 3 days and we didn't know if they were going to get better or worse! But Friday morning found everyone healthy, so off we trekked in the afternoon! You know you have really good friends when you can show up at their house to spend the night, with 5 kids in tow. Fortunately their 4 get along great with ours!

 Chris made pancakes for everyone and they were very much appreciated! A couple hours later, Anne said to Julie, "Your husband makes very delicious pancakes."

Fun times.

 A brief aside, here's the most recent kitchen Christian built/installed (not that I'm proud of him or anything...)

And he finished this last project on Friday, which is how we were able to take our trip! Otherwise he'd still be working on it... he had to process over a mile of lineal feet of wood to replace bleachers at a high school.

Anyway, back to the program... on Saturday we went to a reunion of Christian's old college roommates- we haven't seen one of them and his wife since Peter was a baby, so that was extra special. And of course it's always fun to get together with old friends (and gosh, we seem to be getting older!).

 And one of my old roomies was there, too! It was a great bonus to see Wendie and meet her husband, too!
