Laundry Frustration

1. Happily put the last load of laundry in the dryer.
2. Look forward to pulling out the nice, warm clothes...and generally letting them sit for a day or two before making time to fold and put them away.
3. Open the door and find, to my dismay, bright pink crayon melty spots all over my favorite shirt...and my sister's shirt...and my husband's shirt...assume it's on everything.
4. Imagine the $ signs of replacing an entire load of laundry. Groan and yell at the kids- and myself. (reality unfortunately, folks)
5. Fold the laundry and discover it's only on those 3 shirts, plus one that I never liked anyway.
6. Not quite as overwhelmed, scour the internet for ways to remove melted crayon from clothing.
7. Pick one that sounds the easiest.
8. Spray Goo-Gone on all the spots on all the shirts.
9. With my left hand holding a paper towel under the stain and an old toothbrush in my right hand, scrub the stain a little and add undiluted dish soap and scrub some more.
10. The crayon magically, it seems, ends up on the paper towel and disappears from the shirts.
11. Put in the laundry and hope the Goo-Gone washes out!
